A.K.A. “Pastor K.” grew up on the Texas Gulf coast in a small city called Nederland. The Lord used members in his home congregation, Holy Cross, to encourage him toward the pastoral ministry. He attended Jr. College at Concordia, Austin, followed by Concordia, River Forest, IL, where he met his wife, Wendy (Neubauer).

    After graduation in 1980, he attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He and Wendy were married in the summer of 1981 at her home church, St. Paul Lutheran in Grafton, WI. In 1984, seminary placement took him to St. John’s in Dunnell, MN. After four years, he received a Divine Call to serve St. Paul’s Sheboygan where he has been since.

    Pastor and Wendy are blessed with two daughters Laurie and Rachael. Pastor and Wendy have three grandchildren in Sheboygan from Laurie and her husband, Nate; and one grandchild in Chicago from Rachael and her husband, John. 

    Pastor Matt Shive was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. He completed his undergraduate work at Concordia University Chicago and from there attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. While attending CUC he met his wife Susie and together they have been blessed with five beautiful children. It is a privilege to serve at St. Paul’s church and school.
